HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUHUI!!
dinner was at wild rocket on mount emily(hehheh private joke). nice posh-ish place with pretty good food and even better company. ambience was really nice too we could talk and laugh without worrying about disturbing other diners and yet it wasn't too noisy.
ooh such fun with the 3 of them i dunno how i'd survive sch without you guys heh. many many more pictures once i get them from desiree, including those of mambo afterwards. things to make bernice WISH she'd stayed on haha.today on the actual date of 23 august 2007 she got a nice surprise in the form of kaya cake and 2 good friends.
too windy for the candles heh.

oh the agony of being a pessimist.
it's not easy to try to treasure a high while believing that once you're there things can only go down from then on.
it's not easy looking forward to the next exciting event in life, yet dreading it cuz once it's over its back to the same mundane things.
it's not easy to believe that love never lasts, at least not the romantic kind.
whatever it is, you always anticipate the fallout, and that's where it gets depressing.
thing is, the world doesnt seem to offer much to promote optimism either. all around i see people breaking up, unrequited love. i see people who are married but dont talk to each other. i hear hurtful things being said. maybe its cuz i choose to see the glass half empty. (i don't really see how this question reflects on optimism though. i mean it really depends on circumstances doesnt it. if i had to wash the glass, i'd obviously view it as half full so that i'd have an excuse to leave the glass there. if i was thirsty, i'm view it as half empty cuz there's not enough to quench my thirst. although i have a feeling i'm just talking rubbish and thats not really the point of the question but i cant really figure out how to view the damn glass.)
anyway.
one day, someway, somehow, someone's gonna get hurt. that's what i think. you're welcome to your own opinion, you're even welcome to change mine, cuz like i said, it's not easy being a pessimist.

BIRTHDAYS AND BOOZE
birthday girls one and two: bernice and grace!

dinner at fish and co, complete with standing on the chair and the weird birthday song sung by the staff.
haha their kiddy cake was damn cute though. its like pikachu decided to sail away with spiderman and doraemon and hamtaro.
bernices tongue is impossibly short. can you see her straining to reach the cherry haha.

birthday girl number three: kristy

theme was some bruce lee movie that i've never heard of before. which meant we had to have either one of these:
a) cheongsam
b) mandarin collar
c) pigtails
despite going to chinatown to search for smth appropriate, i couldnt find smth nice and cheap enough so i just chose my most oriental looking top.
this is the birthday girl. clearly adhering to her own rules. she actually put wires in her braids to keep them sticking up haha. hot stuffff.
me and her! btw its the angle that makes my arm look huge. i hope.
